Marina Del Rey Sand Dewatering Project Video- Beneficial Reuse
This
video shows how CJW Construction utilized (1) Total Clean
TCW-3000 to handle flow rates of up to 3000 gpm. The dredged
slurry was pumped 11,000 feet from Marina Del Rey Harbor and
consisted of sands, silts and organics. An estimated
70% of the sands that were
removed from the slurry were being stockpiled and reused on the
beach. The
contaminated fines overflowed out the back of the Total Clean
into geotubes. The fines where disposed of at the landfill. The
set up of the unit consisted of (2) scalping shakers to handle
large organics/trash and (4) desanding hydrocyclone units.

Hog Waste Dewatering Project Video -Beneficial Reuse
•
Hog Waste
Sludge is pumped to a TCW-1500 (see photo below) via a dredge to the scalping
shakers on the Total Clean. The (2) scalping screens removed the
larger material from the sludge. The majority of sludge passes
through the scalping shakers into the tank. Material from
the tank
is then pumped through a series of 6 hydrocyclones with 500 GPM
capacity each (total 3000 GPM). We were cleaning at 3 times the
feed rate. Solids are then captured by the DELineator high
frequency linear shakers. Remaining water / solids fall
through screens and are then recycled through the process.
Material coming off the shakers are then sent to individual
roller presses. The average output is 80 cubic yards of
dewatered solids per day and averaged 30-50% solids. They
had very little to no free water from stack. Dewatering of
sludge will, in customers opinion, become the preferred way to deal with
lagoon solids. The process reduced the water content of
material by 15 times, thus reducing application costs
proportionally and allowing it to be reused as a fertilizer. TCS-1500 Product Brochure
